Eric Near is a Nashville-based composer and audio branding director with a BFA in Music Theory and a career background as a Chief Creative Officer. He builds bespoke sonic identities, original scores, and full audio branding systems for podcasts, video content, and brands, working directly with each client from brief to final delivery.

Drawing on a lifelong love of melodic composition (shaped by The Beatles, Barenaked Ladies, They Might Be Giants, and others), Eric brings a songwriter's instinct to every project. He approaches each engagement as a composer and conductor: the creative vision, the emotional arc, and every composition decision are entirely human-led. AI, where used, functions as a digital ensemble: a set of instruments serving the score rather than generating it.

His podcast music catalog spans two albums and has been licensed by shows across a range of genres. Every sonic identity begins with a human brief, a human creative director, and a human sense of what the audience needs to feel. The result belongs exclusively to the client and sounds like nothing else in the market.

Nearest Creative is based in Nashville, Tennessee and works with clients worldwide.
